9. SHOULD PROJECTS HAVE SUPERVISORS FROM MORE THAN ONE CDT CORE PARTNER?

Yes. The CDT aims to show what can be achieved by harnessing the combined power of four research intensive universities. We have given an undertaking that 100% of projects will be across two or more partners at Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Queen’s University Belfast and LSHTM.

Collaboration can mean access to laboratories, specific training, etc., not just co-supervision. However, experience has shown that one of the most effective ways of building collaboration and cohesion across a network and adding extra value to the student experience is through co-supervision.
